Determining when and where to make necessary pavement repairs is the most important financial decision facing local and state government agencies in today’s limited financial resources.

At every level of government, insufficient funds are available to maintain our nation’s street and highway systems at their current level of service. Accordingly, public funds that are earmarked for pavements must be used as effectively as possible. Recognizing the need for cost-effective pavement rehabilitation and maintenance strategies, Vibetech assembles a team of professionals to provide pavement evaluation and management services to help state and local government units maintain and improve the condition of their pavement network. The Vibetech team provides logical, effective, and economical approaches to solving pavement problems and developing pavement management programs. A given project or situation may call for any or all of our capabilities. Our team utilizes the latest techniques and equipment to provide decisionmakers with accurate assessments that include complete documentation on the status of their existing pavement and maintenance strategy recommendations. The Vibetech team provides pavement evaluation, management, and design services and expertise to federal, state and local government agencies, as well as private organizations.

Our pavement services include:
• Pavement Management System (PMS) Services
which range in complexity from small town simple database systems to state highways unique network level optimization and strategy evaluation.
 • Visual Inspection, Evaluation and Condition Rating of pavements. Our professionals have extensive experience with several condition rating systems such as Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and PASER.
• Maintenance, Overlay and Rehabilitation Design of pavements
• Roughness and Distress Measurements on pavement surfaces
• Deflection Testing (using falling weight deflectometers) of flexible, rigid, aggregate surfaced or other pavement surfaces
• Ground Penetrating Radar
for detecting pavement layer thicknesses, changes in material density, voids beneath pavement, and subsurface moisture
• Engineering Analysis and Evaluation of pavement deflection, roughness and distress measurements
• Structural and Functional Condition Evaluation
and associated remaining life estimates for pavement systems

Research & Training

Vibetech staff have conducted technical research and participated in developing state-of-the-art pavement management software. Research and software development of Micro PAVER, which is the system utilized for this project, have occurred under the sponsorship of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Lab (USABCERL). In addition, Vibetech, in association with Marquette University CHTE, has developed in house training programs for our staff and for government agencies to conduct accurate, repeatable, fast, and reliable pavement distress survey using, condition rating systems such as PCI and PASER. Vibetech staff in association with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has also conducted technical research and has developed state-of-the-art Nondestructive Testing techniques such as Impact Echo for evaluation of pavements, bridges, and buildings.
